Each congregation of the AELC has a Sunday School Program.
As we believe it is important for children to participate in the Divine Service and be present during church, we have our Sunday School Classes before or after the Divine Service.
We use a program entitled Enduring Faith from Concordia Publishing House for our weekly lessons. This material follows a three year plan, with each student receiving a coloured work book. Children also learn memory work from the latest Small Catechism which leads into the expanded version that they will use for confirmation. Enduring Faith also utilises the Lutheran Service Book (LSB), the hymn book we use during worship, and the Lutheran Study Bible. This curriculum offers age appropriate learning of the Bible from toddler age through to confirmation age (early high school).
