Fellowship with the AELC

The Australian Evangelical Lutheran Church (AELC) and its members believe that fellowship with those who believe and teach the truth of Scripture is important. The AELC acknowledges that it has a responsibility to recognise Lutheran congregations and individuals throughout the world who are not members of a heterodox congregation and who uphold a confessional position that is in accordance with the pure marks of the church. It will extend altar and pulpit fellowship to those Lutherans whose doctrine and practice are consistent with the AELC Statement of Faith. The Australian Evangelical Lutheran Church (AELC) is in full altar and pulpit fellowship with the United Lutheran Mission Association (ULMA), established in 2015, and also has full altar and pulpit fellowship with the Association of Confessing Lutheran Churches (ACLC), officially established in April 2024. These churches make use of Walther Theological Seminary (WTS) to prepare men for the Holy ministry. The Seminary of the AELC works with WTS to train men as Pastors.
